We’re not saying a single workshop will get you all the way there. Yet, whether you are new in your career or at a crossroads, visualizing even the next couple steps can never hurt.

The STC Florida Chapter is hosting a free workshop on Saturday, April 27 on the UCF campus (virtual attendance also available) from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm EST. We look forward to seeing you there! This workshop will be free for all attendees and we welcome chapter members and new friends alike. We will be providing water, coffee, and donuts for those attending in person. Following the workshop, we will be having a social and networking meeting at the Bahama Breeze in Waterford Lakes as well!

We ask all attendees to please fill out the Tech Comm Career Interest Assessment, which will be driving discussion for a part of the workshop. We have created the assessment based on core competencies widely recognized in technical communication. At the workshop, we will share your personal results with you and discuss the current career paths and job postings in the state of Florida that align with your interests in technical communication.

We suggest that you pay to park in Parking Garage I and walk to the new Trevor Colbourn Hall (TCH 116 – Computer Lab). Daily parking permits are $5.00. Daily permits are available at any of the pay stations located throughout campus. The pay stations accept cash (no change given) or credit card.
